Northwestern Spartanburg County in Upstate South Carolina... * Until 500 PM EDT. * At 412 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 12 miles southeast of Columbus, or near Lake Bowen, moving southwest at 10 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to trees and power lines. * Locations impacted include... Boiling Springs SC, Inman, Campobello, Lake Bowen, USC Upstate, Fingerville, Green Creek, Gowensville and Spartanburg. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Scattered trees and power lines will be blown down in the warned area. Seek shelter inside an interior room.
