Patchy dense fog is developing across the Piedmont of the Carolinas and northeast Georgia this evening and may continue to expand in coverage as we head into the overnight hours. A Dense Fog Advisory may be issued if the trends continue. Visibilities will be reduced to 1/4 mile and make for hazardous driving conditions. Drivers are urged to use caution and use low beam headlights.
