The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of northeast Georgia, western North Carolina and upstate
South Carolina, including the following areas, in northeast
Georgia, Franklin, Habersham, Hart, Rabun and Stephens. In western
North Carolina, Eastern Polk, Greater Rutherford, Henderson,
Macon, Polk Mountains, Rutherford Mountains, Southern Jackson and
Transylvania. In upstate South Carolina, Anderson, Greater
Greenville, Greater Oconee, Greater Pickens, Greenville Mountains,
Oconee Mountains, Pickens Mountains and Spartanburg.
* Through this evening.
* Bands of heavy rain associated with Tropical Depression Claudette
will cross the area. Training cells will likely produce areas of
flash flooding. Rainfall totals of 2-4 inches area likely across
northeast Georgia, the northern Upstate and the southern Blue
Ridge of North Carolina.
