Breaking News SPARTANBURG, SC: Spartanburg police had their own race this weekend, and it is not happening at Darlington. The event started in a high speed chase with near Reidville Road, at speeds between 75 and 84 Miles Per Hour with a 2019 Nissan Sentra.
The offending driver was able to defeat some efforts of law enforcement including, the box tactic to safely slow down and stop a motorist.
At 12:33AM 290 and 85 over to J. Verne Smith Parkway, Rt 29 in Duncan. Stop sticks were deployed. The chase then went onto Hampton Road.
Police stated that the driver could be "seen reaching over for an object", that is why the Nissan was on the "far side of the road."
More Details ... Gap Creek @ 357 60 MPH The chase ended in Duncan at or near Shoemaker Homes. Driver surrendered.
