NATIONAL: ( #SPARTANBURGONE ) US House of Representatives has voted to decriminalize marijuana at the federal level.
On Friday, the House voted 228-164 to decriminalize the substance of marijuana and expunge nonviolent marijuana-related convictions. This marks the first time that either the Chamber of Congress has endorsed the legalization of cannabis.
However, The Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement Act (MORE Act) is not likely to pass in the Republican-led Senate.
The actual law uses ACLU as a proponent of the law, and those whom donate to them, and the race card to justify the legalization of the naturally occurring herb. This bill, if passed will create a new tax and government budget surplus. This law would also put those whom have been selling the substance illegally at the same par as those who have invested in the industry and operate legally.
The bill calls for changes in banking and places the matter at a state level.
Mitch McConnell, (R) Majority Leader is not in favor of the Bill
Rep. Nadler, Jerrold [D-NY-10],(D) is the Sponsor of the bill. (Pictured below)
