Weather forecasters seem to be gaining confidence that there will be a strike against the coastal communities of North and South Carolinas; Mandatory evacuation orders are in place for some North Carolina communities. Pleasure boats continue to move to port, leaving the large container ships, tankers and sea tows to function as this storm is sitting off Cocoa Beach, FL at this time.

As usual, South Carolina Governor, is slow to act in the face of emergency, showing lack of leadership. In a press release South Carolina State officials reminded residents to bring in their lawn furniture.

Power Outages:
Depending upon the source, one stating 2,500 homes and businesses had lost power, currently there about 53 individuals without power as per Florida Power and Electric. Most of the individuals whom have lost power are located within Fort Lauderdale.
Leaders Assemble! N.C. Leaders Take Action
North Carolina officials have moved to ask all residents and visitors to leave Hatteras Island starting on Saturday at Noon. The reasoning behind this move was the concern, that was addressed in a bulletin from Dare County, because of possible access to Highway twelve being closed off by the weather.
